# The Essentials

For high security with customisations, we recommend starting with our hosted payment fields, these fields allow you to display an iframe (hosted by us) which take the customers payment information and return a token, you can then easily pass this token to us when making payments, without ever seeing customers card details!

**There are 2 major steps to using our hosted payments fields:**

<table data-view="cards"><thead><tr><th></th><th></th><th></th><th data-hidden data-card-target data-type="content-ref"></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Frontend JS Code</strong></td><td>Take customers payment information</td><td></td><td><a href="/pages/M8MY7olq6lduJArLEa6d">/pages/M8MY7olq6lduJArLEa6d</a></td></tr><tr><td><strong>Backend Code</strong></td><td>Handle a payment request</td><td></td><td><a href="/pages/UX1T91PSHcfAroGC0UP1">/pages/UX1T91PSHcfAroGC0UP1</a></td></tr></tbody></table>
